Lecture at the Museum of the history of immigration in Paris

I’m honored to have been invited to speak in the final session of the RUINES seminar “The Building as a Trace of Crime,” co-curated by Aurélie Adauvel and Nicolas Fischer. In my June 7th talk I presented my archival and practice-based research that, using forensic architectural techniques, located and rendered visible the Vincennes Identification Center (CIV). The CIV was a location of internment and repression of the Algerian war in the Parisian region. Following the talk, I demonstrated the immersive AR-3D reconstitution of the CIV developed with the TechCore team at the University of Arizona. Thanks to Musée national de l’histoire de l’immigration and Marianne Amar for hosting this event.
