Choreographing Space, Structuring Dance

During the Performance Studies International 19 (Stanford Univ., June 27, 2013) Beth Weinstein presented Choreographing Space, Structuring Dance in the context of a panel: Event-Space Now (& Then) :: Architectures (in & out) of time, curated by Dorita Hannah. Rodrigo Tisi, Jordan Geiger and others presented. Weinstein’s presentation involved simultaneous projection and live drawing of mutable performance environments for dance.

She also presented Borrowed Space and Time, a paper discussing contemporary collaborations between architects and choreographers that borrowed ideas from other artists such as Marcel Duchamp and Francis Bacon, and composer J S Bach, to structure the space and time of their performance work.
